The WINNER of the FREE Round of Golf from last month’s Greenwood Tradition is Mike Hatcher, Fort Smith. He is a happy golfer! Be sure to fill out the certificate for this month and take it into the Pro Shop for your chance to win a free round of golf with a cart.  If you are already a Vache Grasse member, you can bring a non-member friend to play golf.

Golf Season is upon us.  Tournaments are scheduled.  The weather has been a little stubborn, but, “real golfers” are still playing rain or shine.   The Greenwood High School Golf Booster Tournament was April 26th with ideal weather.  There was a good turn-out, lots of volunteers, hole sponsors, great lunch at the turn between #6 to #7, and HUG Chevrolet sponsored a Hole-in-One on #16 with a beautiful car.

The overall winners with a score of 57 were:  Kevin Jones, Joe Vann and Jeremy Davis. Quite a score!

Coach Williams, Coach Fein and Vache Grasse would like to thank all of the sponsors, volunteers and players who made the Bulldog Golf Booster Tournament  a great success.

The 2014 MASON BARR Golf Tournament, known as “Greater Fort Smith Association of Home Builders”, was Friday May 16th.  The weather allowed a tiny window for a great day of golf.  It was a huge tournament- over 100 golfers.  The winning team: Brady Dobbs, Kelly Carolan, and Paul Carolan with a score of 59.

The tournament was sponsored by OG&E, LUMBER ONE,& HUG CHEVROLET, who furnished the “Hole in One” auto on  the #16, 3-Par.  The food was provided by Citizen’s Bank.  There were 57 sponsors. Proceeds from this tournament went scholarships for members, employees, and their children.

Saturday May 17th was the “Focus on Greenwood Tournament”-a Four Person Shamble with over 50 Hole Sponsors. It was a successful golf tournament.  The  day was chilly, but not rainy. The overall winning team was: Shawn Howard, Jeff Teague, Ryan Morse, and Josh Champion with an Eagle on #9, and a score of 60.

If you are a golfer at any level, you do not want to miss out on these tournaments!  The competition is exciting, the fellowship is great, and the food is always delicious.  Call Debbie @ 996-4191 and get your name on the sign-up sheet.

Memorial Day is here, and school will be out.  Where will your family spend the summer?  Vache Grasse is a great recreational area for families.  The swimming pool will open soon, and the golf course is in good playing condition.  If you are not already a member, you must give Vache Grasse events consideration:

Tuesday Mornings Women’s Golf League-all skill levels are welcome,  meet at the Clubhouse by 8:45 am and Tee Off at 9:00.

Tuesday Evening Scramble Night: Teams are made and 9 holes  are played.  It is great fun, good fellowship and friendly completion.  Sign up by 5:30 and Tee Time is 6:00.

Wednesday Evening Men’s League: Tee Time 6:00, sign up by 5:30 pm.

Vache Grasse will be having a YARD SALE June 27th.  Mark your calendar and come out to find some good deals.
