Stewart Receives McConnell Scholarship

James “Gunner” Stewart, son of Melissa and Gary Robinson, is the 2017 recipient of the Arl McConnell Scholarship.  Each year the $1200.00 scholarship is presented to a senior entering the field of education. McConnell was principal of Greenwood High School in the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s and was a great friend to GHS after his retirement. Stewart plans to attend the University of Arkansas/Fort Smith this fall and major in Music Education. While attending GHS Gunner was a member of the GHS Marching Band, the GHS Beta Club and National Honor Society. He is presented the scholarship by Greenwood High School Principal, Jerry Efurd.
