Senator Mark Pryor Visit Chaffee

In his bid for re-election as Arkansas’ senior United States Senator, Mark Pryor visited Chaffee Crossing and spoke to a veterans group calling themselves, “Veterans For Pryor.” Some young, some aging, some permanently disabled, but all standing proud in the eyes of the crowd, these heroes came out in support of Pryor’s campaign.

Introducing the senator was Austin Phillips-United States Army veteran of the War in Iraq. Phillips was injured when an IED exploded. Phillips lost his right foot and spoke of Pryor’s help in securing veteran’s benefits to cover his prosthesis.

Pryor spoke to a crowd that filled the museum at Chaffee. Amid half-a-century of army photos and memorabilia, Pryor pleaded with those in attendance to go vote. “The best way to honor our veterans is to participate in the process they defended…our most sacred right as an American is the right to vote. If you really want to thank a veteran for their service to this great nation, go vote.”
