GHS Students and Volunteers help Vilonia Tornado Relief Effort

On May 1st three GHS students (Lauren Loum, Jake Odell and  Avery Melton)  approached GHS principal Jerry Efurd and said “we do to do something to help Vilonia”.   They got the “ball rolling”.  Thirty-six GHS students and staff members traveled to Vilonia this last Saturday (May 10th) to help with the Tornado Relief effort and contributed over 260 man hours by picking up and sorting debris.  The group also carried with them supplies provided by the Greenwood Pre-School which were presented to the Rubicon Relief Team and over $900 in gift cards which were collected from Greenwood High School, East Point Elementary School and local contributions.  The gift cards were presented to the Vilonia High School principal for distribution.  Those participating in the work day were:  Kristin Aishman, Taylor Aishman, Danielle Bridges, Jessica Caple, Graham Coffelt, Conner Ciesla, Alana Delp, JoLynn Dixon,  Jerry Efurd,  Hope Frost, Jacob George, Christian Griffith, Bethany Hood, Weston Hood, Samantha Johnson, Bryan Lewis, Lauren Loum, Avery Melton, Chris Mosby, Jake Odell, Moriah Qualls, Josh Rankin, Kayla Reed, Diana Rhea, Lane Paul, Cherise Robison, Caroline Scott, Emma Shortes, Colton Sims, JoElla Skaggs, Debbie Sobolewski, Matt Sobolewski, Craig Taylor, Shara Thames, Trish Thornhill, Tammy Wackerly and Analeigh Ulrich,
