Another successful wrestling season closes

By Richard White Last weekend the GHS wrestling team finished 8th in the state tournament held in Little Rock, but placed second among all 6A wrestling schools in the state, trailing only Searcy. Wrestling at Brute Nationals and State Championship in Freestyle and Greco-Roman

The Brute Nationals are held in Independence, Missouri every year in April-this year on April 11th, 12th, and 13th. It is open to all boys and girls from kindergarten through the 12th grade. GHS Wrestler, Taylor Compton, Claims National Title


Compton recently competed in the Brute Nationals, a wrestling tournament held annually in Independence, Missouri, and won all three of his matches to lay claim to the national championship medal hanging around his neck.
